Adults living in the state of Alabama needed to assist callers with transportation to Covid vaccine appointments and with vaccine scheduling. This is virtual volunteering by telephone. Need 4 hour/ week commitment. If interested, can also send an email with name, phone number, email address, and additional information to [email protected].
BDCC is currently seeking both clinical volunteers to assist with vaccination and non-medical volunteers to help with clerical support. There are also opportunities for non-public-facing volunteers to assist with customer service support via phone. Commitment is a minimum of two days per week, Monday through Saturday, either 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. or 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Volunteers will assist with traffic flow, ensuring physical distancing, and greeting scheduled patients. To respond to the COVID-19 pandemic, the UCSF Benioff Homelessness and Housing Initiative, Glide, Life Sciences Cares, and the San Francisco Community Health Center have partnered with the San Francisco Department of Public Health to provide vaccinations for people experiencing homelessness or living in SRO hotels.
